Today is a good day to start writing a blog. The sun is shining (which is quite unusual) and I am having the famous English breakfast, tea and toast, while surfing the net.
I was supposed to have my first lecture midday but "Revolution And Continuity in Political Philosophy" class was cancelled and all the lectures will only start next week. Sweet! I will have a lazy day in, cook something with roommates and maybe watch a movie. Later on I will walk up the hill to the campus and go for the first meeting of the International Politics society. A local MP is coming to talk to us and later on he is to be met in the pubs.
This week has been all about settling down and getting used to the place. Walking up and down between town and campus for registrations, introductions, meetings, forums and other events. Shopping for towels, pots and pans, pillows and duvets. Going to the grocery store to look for something eatable and meeting lots and lots of people.
All in all, I am very happy here. It has been easy to settle here, and sounds like a cliche, but it feels like I was meant to be in this crazy but lovely little town.
