For the last couple of weeks I have been extremely busy with the work load from the InterPol department. I have had three essays to do - and the last one is due in about 13 hours time - so I still got some time to finish up. And it is not only the essays, put also lectures and seminars that I should prepare and study for. Luckily I am really into the topic and enjoy reading most of the books (though not the most theoretical ones) so it's all for good. Also it is nice to see how my writing and analyzing skills develop on the way as the academic language has not been my strongest points (as I've always preferred writing short novels and humorist stories, e.g., 'Heppa Höperö')
Winter is coming to this island and you can feel it in the wind. It definitely would not be this cold without the wind but when it rains it is the worst. I read from HS that there have been floods somewhere in England, but no worries, the drainage here is pretty good as there is no water on the streets even though the waves are pretty high at this time of he year. (read: waves usually wash all the cars on the promenade and you don't want to walk there then as you'd be hit with stones and other stuff from the sea)
I have been so occupied with the work that I have lives day by day and hour by hour. But somewhere in the back of my mind I have a feeling that lots of nice things are coming up in the very closest future. My dear sister E is visiting in the UK and I'm very fortunate to get her visit Aber!! I can't wait to see her and show her all my favorite places around..
Of course there is all sorts of Christmas things coming up; baking ginger cookies with the Scandinavians, doing Christmas grocery shopping in Morrisons and the winter ball for InterPol students with a three course meal, guest speaker, casino, music and dancing. Doesn't sound too bad huh!
And less than four weeks and I am flying back to Finland - amazing stuff!
