What a beautiful day...

New semester, new lectures and professors, tutors and lecture halls, exciting seminars and events, inspiring topics and interesting reading material. Most of my lectures are in the beginning of the week so that Tuesday, for example, I go to Campus early in the morning and finish late in the evening. My Salsa-class happens to be that day and unfortunately I won't have the energy to hit the basketball court afterwards. Thursdays I have totally off and Fridays only one seminar. I think Thursday will become my ultimate studying day.

It is such a beautiful day today. About 10 degrees, sun is shining and the promenade is full of biker men and their beautiful motor cycles. I don't think they'd notice if one of the bikes was gone..
Tonight I have the Choral Union practice. It is only 3 weeks till the big concert toward what we have been practicing to and it is all very exciting! I never new before how much I would enjoy the pieces of Mozart and basically the words are just full worship to God so not so bad at all.

Back to my courses, I am doing a course in war, intelligence and strategy. It is such an interesting course and the core book for it is an edition from 2010 which is wonderful as usually the editions from 1988 are not exactly accurate. And it has case studies from the 'previous' wars, like the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Georgia, and Gaza. (as older books usually only look at wars till the Gulf War) Not like I am a war fanatic or anything but it is surely interesting to look at topics like nuclear weapons, humanitarian intervention and peace operations, security, strategy.. just to understand it better, and how these things are practiced and can (or can't) be justified in the area of IR.

My other courses are European Politics and Politics in the Third World. The latter is absolutely great! We get to pick 'our own country' and do research about it, and the lecturer is really awesome and we are doing a trip to Liverpool yay! (to a slavery museum or something)
And well, politics in Europe is not exactly my greatest interest but it seems useful to know how the system works and what institutions there are etc. Oh boy,.

The pictures above, the first one is taken after a Latin party Saturday night just to show that I am not such a nerd I might sound (lol) but got to show my moves that I practice every Tuesday in Salsa class (laughing) and the one below is a picture of my dearly beloved guitar that we baptized Eddie (same name as Botha's dog, what a coincidence) Oh and my cool Bunny shirt I got as a Christmas present from Marte after talking about it for two weeks.

Now I think I wanna go for a run, it ain't this beautiful everyday! Then it is the choir and finally we're heading to the Sushi place - girls gotta eat :P And tomorrow we are out of Aberystwyth and heading to the Birmingham malls. I will try keep it to window shopping as I really have to save money to Israel (and Holland?), just gonna enjoy it with my girls.

Cheers for now!
